About Us
Though you don't get to see Michael very often he is a vital part of Mishules Field Spaniels as he is the one who generally gets to stay home and look after the dogs who are left behind whilst i go to events. Without him i wouldn't be able to do half the things that i currently do.
Here is a rare photo of him with Gremlin, when we visited the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway at Porthmadog. |
I have been involved in showing Dogs since 1981 when I started showing my mother’s Gordon Setters and a GWP in the mid 80s. I got my first Field in and the Mishules Affix in 1992. My foundation Shirmal bitch was acquired in 1993 and this was where my passion for a fit-for-function, dual-purpose Field was realised. I have since shown dogs to CC level and Field Trial awards. I have also been approved to judge Field Spaniels at CC level.
I believe that to enjoy this sport you have to give something back and I am currently the Secretary of Field Spaniel Health Charity and a member of the FSSA Illustrated Breed Standard Committee. I am Working Secretary of United Spaniel Association. I also spent many years on Leicestershire Gundog and Ashbourne & District Canine Society committees |
