Abdou

Abdou had a bad experience in the show ring when he was about 10 months old and we never were able to get him to be comfortable being shown. He was a food working gundog  and was a regular member of Crewe Hall beating team. 


Abdou also entered and won awards at Working Tests. He also ran in several Field Trials alas without success. On one occasion he cost one Gun £50 at the Field Spaniel Field Trial as he hunted out a bramble bush and brought out a white pheasant shot on a previous dogs run. As the shoot liked these white pheasants there was a £50 fine for doing so. The gun thought he had got away with it as the previous dog failed to retrieve it and it had run and tucked in tightly in this thick bramble bush.
